EMBRACE CHANGE

"Change is inevitable. Change is constant." ~ Benjamin Disraeli

Did you know that we Homo sapiens share a common ape ancestor with chimpanzees? Look at us and look at the chimpanzees. Do you think we'd be where we are today had our ancestors not embraced change? We don't face hardships like our parents, grandparents, or the people before them did. All because they accepted the change and faced it head-on.

Yes, change is different and uncertain. It's hard to predict if it'd be good or bad for us, so we tend to avoid it. We tend to stay in our comfort zone so we don't have to face the challenges presented to us. That's normal, but that doesn't mean it's healthy. Think about it. What's the worst thing that could happen if you just decided to take a risk and go for it?

The fear of change and uncertainty has such a stronghold over us that it holds us back from doing what we desire to, expressing how we feel, and even thinking rationally. I don't like being restrained from what I want to do. I'm sure nobody does. So why do we overthink or hesitate when it comes to the simple matter of accepting change?

Even the leaves accept their fate and change every season. There wouldn't have been butterflies in the world had they avoided change. Even rivers change their flow and go wherever the path takes them. We see a plethora of varieties of flowers around us every day because they welcome change. If nature can easily recognize and accept whatever is thrown at them, why can't we?

Fearing change won't do any good. It'll just make you overthink and doubt every step you take and every decision you make. How can one live when he's restricted by his own thoughts? My advice, be bold. Be courageous and embrace whatever life throws at you because whatever happens, happens for a reason. Besides, ignoring change is like locking yourself in prison. Do you really want to do that to yourself?

"The measure of intelligence is the ability to change." ~ Albert Einstein

Hey, if Einstein said it, it must be right! Do you believe him?
